40 Years of Sales Knowledge in 79 Minutes [LIVE Sales Coaching]

I grew up a competitive swimmer starting at the age of 9.

My first coach, Scott, was a young coach that coached off talent.

Meaning, if you had some talent?

He would just push you to work hard.

And that worked for me until I was 12.

Up until that point, I was one of fastest swimmers in Oregon for the 50 yd and 100 yd breaststroke.

But then everybody around me hit puberty and grew a foot taller while packing on 30-50 pounds of muscle.

I stayed a puny 5'0 and 100 lbs lol.

For the next couple years, despite how hard I worked, I never made it back to even the top 10.

At 14, my parents switched me to a different swim team and coach.

Coach Eric, had swam collegiate and had coached successfully for 15 years.

Within the first practice, he immediately saw all my flaws in my stroke technique.

Flaws that Scott never saw or coached on.

It wasn't that Scott wasn't good, he just didn't have that same level of experience and wisdom.

Eric started to coach me on a super granular level on my stroke technique.

Not only that, he taught me things I never had considered before.

From building mental toughness, to diet and nutrition, dry-land workouts, and so much more.

Within the first year, I started to improve and climb the rankings.

But here's what even crazier:

Because of his experience, he saw what I couldn't see.

He could see my potential in other strokes and events.

So he coached on it.

By the age of 15-16, I became one of the fastest kids in a few different events:

100 yd butterfly
200 yd butterfly
100 yd breaststroke
200 yd breaststroke
50 yd freestyle
100 yd freestyle
200 yd individual medley
400 yd individual medley

I was now qualifying for multi-state regional events and had the potential to swim collegiate.

I went from being in the top 8 at 2 events in Oregon alone...

To being in the top 8 in 8 individual events and in multiple states.

(And only being 5'7" with the wingspan of a child lol)

This was the power of his results and experience at coaching at the highest level.

When you've been through the "ringer," your instincts become much sharper.

Sales is the same way.

Since I actually carried the bag and got bloodied over and over for years, it taught me a ton.

From losing thousands of deals...

Making thousands of cold calls...

To getting rejected thousands of times..

The battle scars are there.

But here's the thing:

To this day, I still run sales calls and I am still learning.

But I can see things I used to never be able to see before.

I can see where the "puck" is going and adjust accordingly.

Today, I wanted to show you what that is like.

I want to compress 40 years of sales knowledge in under 2 hours.

So I pulled straight from my private client files a live coaching session with over a dozen AE's.

You'll see me discuss one-on-one:

How to deal with stalled deals and progress them forward

And so much more.
